30->20 amp adapter?

I have a 30 to 15 amp adapter that I use occasionally connected to a 20 amp outlet. Does anyone know where to get an actual 30 to 20 amp converter plug. All I have found is 30 to 15 amp adapters. Since I plug into a real 20 amp outlet & circuit, I would like a real 20 amp plug. Then I can set my EMS to 20amp and not be concerned when pulling 16-20 amps. Sometimes the 30 to 15 gets a little warm.

RE: Digital TV converter, 12 volts?

I searched for one, and found none. A small inverter would be an option possibly. I saw a tiny 75 watt inverter that was not much larger than the cig.lighter adapter itself.

RE: Shower now dumps to the Grey Tank, YEAH!

From the factory, our Itasca Suncruiser's shower has dumped/pumped into the BLACK holding tank. It is a roll-in type shower, and has no p-trap, but has a small pump located in a storage bin that pumps the water from the shower drain into the holding tank. The problem was the factory connected the hose from the shower pump to the BLACK tank. As a result, the black tank of course fills up quickly, having to dump frequently, using alot of "blue packets", and very little gray water to dump secondly after the black dumps. In addition, my gray tank is larger than the black. I checked with Winnebago, and yes indeed they decided to go to the black tank intentionally for my serial # for reasons unknown, but most probably because it was more difficult to go to the gray tank (according to Winnebago). I checked with my dealer on changing this design and got a "thousand yard stare" from the dealer. Brought it to an independent RV repair dealer that has done good work for me in the past, and he put a handy 2-way valve on with another hose going to the gray tank for only $250 bucks. Now the shower can go to the gray tank, or with the turn of the valve, go back to the Black tank (which I doubt I will ever do again!). Nice to have the black tank for the toilet only, and the gray tank for the shower/sinks.
My F-I-L's 1975 Winnebago's bathroom sink dumps into the black as well.
That sounds "OK" to me. The amount of water going through the sink is not near as much as the shower itself. Your setup would have been fine for me, but not the shower. no way on the shower.

RE: Shower now dumps to the Grey Tank, YEAH!

Companies do plumb the shower or the bathroom sink to the black tank for two reasons, one to get adequate water into it, and secondly because in general the grey tank fills up first. I would not consider it to be a mistake or defect myself.

Exactly right, and those that say it's a cheap way out should consider the cost of the pump and wiring, that's not cheap and may even be more expensive.
:h I'm confusd.

RE: Shower now dumps to the Grey Tank, YEAH!

OP said that he has to pump shower water into tank. I'm just curious how you keep that pump from getting all gunked up with hair and other shower crud?
The pump is located in a compartment in a storage bin. We have to clean the shower drain on the shower floor itself each time we use the shower if anything gets caught in the screen. And then about every 3-4 trips, I clean the filter on the pump itself. That part is easy, you just simply unscrew a little plastic cap, take off the filter, clean it out and put in back on. Takes less than 2 minutes. Not a problem.

RE: Shower now dumps to the Grey Tank, YEAH!

You have a specially built Suncruiser built for someone that was handicapped. Regular 37Gs do not have the shower going to the black tank. The roll in shower was only used in handicap coaches.
-Tom
-- Correct. I think the valve switch ability works well. That way sometimes I can route the shower water to the black tank, and other times to the gray. The shower routed on the black tank only was not working out well because you basically cannot dry camp for very long. Little to nothing in the gray tank, and the black tank is full everytime.

Well having the sink go to the black tank would not be as big of a problem, but the shower has alot of volume, and it causes the black tank to fill very quickly. It may be be a defect or mistake, but having used it this way, I can tell you that I like the gray route much better.

RE: Shower now dumps to the Grey Tank, YEAH!

What year and model Suncruiser do you have? I kind of wish we had that option. I've thought about installing a valve to route the grey water to the black. The dw might not go for it though. Would make cleaning it a lot easier.
2001 37G. The roll-in shower requires that they place a small to drain the shower. I had them put a valve behind the pump to route the shower water to either "A- Black Tank" or "B-Gray Tank".

RE: Best Kind of T.V. Antenna

The best antenna for digital TV is amazingly a coathanger style bowtie antenna. Picks up the UHF digital signal from far away without turning or adjusting. The only problem is, it is ugly. Those store bought high tech lookin antennas looks cool, but don't work as well as the old bowtie antenna. Google youtube coathanger antenna and make one yourself. It is easy. It looks like grandpa's old bowtie TV antenna, but it works perfect. For digital TV, it really is "back to the future".

RE: Trying to put together a Solar system

Solar is expensive. Whether the configuration you suggest works or not it begs a question. You are willing to spend hundreds of dollars so you can have outdoor lighting? What am I missing?
Agreed. Is it "you going green", because it sounds like "your $green$ going"?

RE: Digital TV experience

Hey, maybe try this: Make yourself a coathanger type bow-tie antenna, connect it to the CABLE IN where you would normally connect cable from the pedestal, connect the digital converter box to the "cable" line inside the MH instead of the antenna line. Place your coathanger antenna outside somewhere wherever you are parked. The old coathanger bow-tie type antenna's pick up the digital signal much better than our batwings!. Try it.

RestEasy Lounge ... where to buy?

I have a sofa/bed sofa in a 2001 Itasca Suncruiser. We saw the "RestEasy" and would like to know how to buy one. Looks more comfortable and I like the ottoman feature too. Does anyone know how I could go about ordering one?

Faulty dipstick question Ford V10

I am changing my oil, and I cannot remember if I have the faulty V10 oil dipstick or not. 2000 Ford 6.8L V10. I remember that some have faulty dipsticks causing an incorrect reading. Mine is the yellow "T" handle style. Can't remember if it is the faulty one or not. I suspect that it is the faulty one, because when adding 6 quarts it reads toward the bottom of the dipstick range. Can anyone refresh my memory on the Ford faulty dipstick thing?

Selling gasoline marked up during a hurricane = "supply & demand".
